(My highlighter series is a series of reviews running through January and the beginning of Feb where I look at the most blogged about highlighters of 2016 and decide if they're worth it or not! I'm going to put up a highlighter series review every Monday.)

Champagne Pop. Is there much more to really say? It's a cult favourite. A blogger must-have. A make-up hoarder necessity. Now with the words 'Skin Perfector' in the title, this little compact has a lot to live up to but slap the gorgeous Jaclyn Hill's face on the packet and I'll pay good money to have even a small chance at it. At £32, this little baby isn't exactly drugstore so it took me a while to fork out the buck for this sucker.

This collection was originally labelled as limited edition, which I missed out on first time round, but was brought back due to popular demand. Usually I hate when companies do this! I'm a companies dream and will buy products purely because I'm scared they'll sell out and I won't have the chance to buy them again, so I get a bit annoyed when they're released again and I could have thought my purchase through a bit more. But, as I missed the first release of this I'm actually pretty happy they brought this back to their permanent collection.

Housed in Becca's traditional rubberized packaging, the highlighter is relatively safe from my clumsy hands. I say relatively because mine actually shattered after I dropped it on my bedroom's wooden floor *cue a tiny violin* hence my awful photoshoped image above. The packaging looks attractive and hard wearing but I think the product smashed due to the extremely soft texture of the product. Now, I actually adore the consistency of this highlighter; I love everything about the way it applies, the way it feels, the pigmentation it gives, the way all my brushes pick it up - so I think I'm going to just have to deal with being a bit more careful with not dropping it!

As said, this product is extremely soft to touch. It literally feels like dipping your finger into butter. When my pan was in one piece (sad face) I used a Sigma tapered highlighting brush and it was extremely pigmented, definitely a night time highlighter or for a glam #instagram look. If you like a blinding highlight then this is definitely the one for you.

Despite having a very dramatic glow, the colour is surprisingly 'natural-toned' or is so on my NC35 skin. If you've been following my highlighter series, you'll know that I've been on the hunt for a strong gold toned highlighter for what feels like ever, unfortunately Champagne Pop is not that highlighter. Luckily, CP is a gorgeous colour but I'd say it is rather a peachy pink than a gold and champagne probably being the perfect colour name for it so well done Jaclyn on the perfect name - did that sound condescending?

Champagne Pop did not necessarily accentuate any pores more so than any of my other highlighters, nor is it necessarily that glittery, but I wouldn't say it's a glossy-look highlighter like L'Oreal's True Match Powder Illuminator (another fav!) either. Wear time is nice, lasting all day with primer and a decent foundation underneath (usually my fav Nars All Day Luminious). Champagne Pop has risen to number one spot on my top fav highlighter list, purely due its amazing pigmentation and buttery smoothness. I adore this product and NEED all the other Becca highlighters now. What are your opinions?

Pros:
Pigmentation is AH-MAZING
Soooooo smooth and buttery, my brushes pick this product up so effortlessly
Gorgeous, versatile colour for any skin type - even dark skinned gals could rock it (would be quite daring tho)
Not too glittery
Ma fav highlighter eva. Just buy it and you'll see what all the fuss is about. Seriously.

Cons:
Did smash easily
Can't do a natural look with this one! It's all or nothing! (Not a problem for me - but might be for you!)
Doesn't give a glossy look. (I need to drop it with this glossy-look thing.)

If you're looking for a show stopper then look no further because Champagne Pop is truly blinding. Warning: these products aren't for the faint hearted!
